Right option is (b) 1.33 The explanation is: The characteristic impedance is given by Zo = √(Z/Y), where Z is the impedance and Y is the admittance. On substituting for Z = 16 and Y = 9, we get the characteristic impedance as √(16/9) = 1.33 units.
