If 14 lt of the juice of glass A and 42 It of the juice of glass B is mixed together to form a new juice, then what will be the ratio of pineapple to orange in the new glass of juice ? Answer :- Let in A we have, Pineapple = 4x orange = 3x and in B we have, Pineapple = 6y orange = y . now, in 14 litre of glass A we have, Pineapple = 14 * (4/7) = 8 litre. Orange = 14 * (3/7) = 6 litre . and, in 42 litre of glass B we have, Pineapple = 42 * (6/7) =36 litre. Orange = 42 * (3/7) = 6 litre . then, → In mixture we have , pineapple : orange = (8 + 36) : (6 + 6) = 44 : 12 = 11 : 3 (Ans.)
