As a black jack, a red queen and two black kings are removed, the number of cards left in the pack= 52 - 4 = 48 ∴ The total number of outcomes = 48 (i) Number of black cards left in the pack= 26 - 3 = 23 ∴ Probability of black card = 23 48 . (ii) Number of kings left in the pack= 4 - 2 = 2 ∴ The number of favourable outcomes to the event a king = 2 Probability of getting a king = 2 48 = 1 24 (iii) Number of red queens left in the pack - 2 -1 = 1 ∴ Probability of red queen = 1 48
