In a dipole, the Gauss theorem value will be (a) 1 (b) 0 (c) -1 (d) 2 I had been asked this question in an online quiz. This interesting question is from Maxwell Law 3 in section Maxwell Equations of Electromagnetic Theory Select the correct answer from above options Electromagnetic Theory questions and answers, Electromagnetic Theory questions pdf, Electromagnetic Theory question bank, Electromagnetic Theory questions and answers pdf, mcq on Electromagnetic Theory pdf, electromagnetic theory book pdf, electromagnetic theory pdf notes, electromagnetic theory lecture notes, electromagnetic theory of light, maxwell electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic theory proposed by,electromagnetic theory engineering physics, electromagnetic theory nptel

Correct choice is (b) 0 The best I can explain: The Gauss theorem for an electric field is given by Div(D)= ρ. In a dipole only static charge exists and the divergence will be zero. Thus the Gauss theorem value for the dipole will be zero.
