Find the standing wave ratio, when a load impedance of 250 ohm is connected to a 75 ohm line. (a) 0.3 (b) 75 (c) 250 (d) 3.33 I have been asked this question in class test. This interesting question is from Standing Waves and SWR topic in chapter Transmission Lines of Electromagnetic Theory Select the correct answer from above options Electromagnetic Theory questions and answers, Electromagnetic Theory questions pdf, Electromagnetic Theory question bank, Electromagnetic Theory questions and answers pdf, mcq on Electromagnetic Theory pdf, electromagnetic theory book pdf, electromagnetic theory pdf notes, electromagnetic theory lecture notes, electromagnetic theory of light, maxwell electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic theory proposed by,electromagnetic theory engineering physics, electromagnetic theory nptel

Right option is (d) 3.33 To explain I would say: The standing wave ratio is the ratio of the load impedance to the characteristic impedance. Thus S = ZL/Zo. On substituting for ZL = 250 and Zo = 75, we get S = 250/75 = 3.33.
