A filter that passes frequencies between two designated cut-off frequencies and attenuates all other frequencies is called? (a) high pass filter (b) band elimination filter (c) band pass filter (d) low pass filter I had been asked this question in final exam. My question comes from Filter Networks in chapter Filters and Attenuators of Network Theory Select the correct answer from above options network theory questions and answers, network theory questions pdf, network theory question bank, network theory gate questions and answers pdf, mcq on network theory pdf, gate network theory questions and solutions, network theory mcq Test , ies network theory questions, Network theory Questions for GATE EC Exam, Network Theory MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)

Right answer is (c) band pass filter To explain I would say: A band pass filter passes frequencies between two designated cut-off frequencies and attenuates all other frequencies. A band pass filter has two cut-off frequencies and will have the pass band f2-f1; f1 is the lower cut-off frequency, f2 is the upper cut-off frequency.
