This is a relatively new program, offered by a few insurance companies, under which the insured is eligible to have his or her deductible reduced as a “reward” for accident-free driving. These programs will cost you, though. And according to Consumer Reports, you’ll probably end up spending more than you would save because of the higher premiums.
