Static routing is a type of routing that occurs if a router uses a manually-configured routing entry instead of information from dynamic routing traffic.
In most of the cases, static routes are configured manually by the network administrator by adding in entries into a routing table, even though it may not be the case always. Unlike dynamic routing, Static routes are fixed and do not change when the network is changed or reconfigured.
