In a game of whist, 4 players play the gam and each player is given 13 cards. So, total number of ways a player is given 13 cards =C(52,13) Now, there are 4 kings and we need to find the number of ways so that all 4 kings goes to a specific player. A specific player can be given all 4 kings and rest of the 9 cards can be given from remaining 48 cards. So, total number of cases in this case =C(4,4)⋅C(48,9) So, the required probability = C(4,4)×C(48,9) C(52,13) .
