The correct option is (a) 14.85 To elaborate: The force on a conductor is given by F = BIL sin θ, where B = 3.75, I = 8, L = 0.12 and θ = 90 for maximum force. We get F = BIL= 9 x 2.75 x 0.6 sin 90 = 14.85 units.
